5. APPX Data Insertion ====================== Two new Format-3 connect override strings may be used to pass data to the mainframe APPX. The userdata= and userdata2= strings are passed to the mainframe and can be retrieved via the APPX Get-Extended-Connect-Data function (see prior section). The data is returned in the PPE-USER-DATA1 and PPE-USER-DATA2 fields. These can be specified at the client, or data can be inserted by the APPX Router from the encryption database source. In addition, a remote encryption database or database DLL can supply a 32 byte field which is passed unchanged to the APPX application. The data is returned in the PPE-DLL-EXIT-DATA field via the APPX Get-Extended- Connect-Data function (see prior section).
